How to tell if you have bed bug bites on your skin.
Bed bugs bite in clusters of threes or fours and are grouped very close together or can be in a straight row . They tend to be on exposed body parts including arms, hands, back, abdomen and neck/face.
Bed bug bites are noticeably red, swollen, and have a small black center at the head of the bump. They can be itchy or have no feeling at all. Some people may have an allergic reaction to these bites causing them to look much more inflamed.
Am I experiencing bed bug bites?
Bed bug bites can look similar to other insect bites. Many times its hard to tell whether or not you’re dealing with bed bugs or just another biting insect. Listed below are a few ways you can check yourself visually and see if what you may be experiencing is caused by bed bug bites.
HOW long do bed bug bites last?
When a bed bug bites you they release an anesthetic that is typically not felt by the host. There is only a 50/50 chance that you will actually react to the bite itself, this makes it extremely difficult to detect the early stages of bed bugs. If you’re one of those lucky ones that do react to the bites you may not even show a single sign to your skin for up to two weeks.
This is due to delayed reaction. Exactly how many days depends mainly on your immune system and skin sensitivity. People with sensitive skin tend to react far more worse than others and will generally show bites on their skin for a lot longer than those who aren’t as sensitive. We highly suggest not scratching your bites since it will only lead to infection or irritation which causes them to take much longer to heal. Most bites will fully heal around 14-21 days.
